Getting there

From London. The cheapest and most frequent services are offered by coach services (running from Victoria Coach and Rail station) . Both are at 15 minute intervals most of the day, and take an 1 1/2 hours, though peak hour traffic can add half an hour to the journey. There are also regular services from Paddington railway station, taking 55 minutes or more.

Disabled Access

The route is suitable but not always easy for wheelchairs, with some uneven street surfaces, i.e. cobbles, and York stone flags, narrow pavements with kerbs. Bulwarks Lane is inaccessible from its New Road entry and a detour would need to be made down New Inn Hall Street. There is wheelchair access to the colleges on the route, though there are ramps, and the occasional step to negotiate to get access to certain parts of the interiors. But be warned that wheelchairs can only get access (due to cycle traps elsewhere) to Christ Church Meadow from St Aldate’s.
