Touring the Area

The tour takes in the exterior and interior of the Cathedral. A plan of the tour route is included in the Photo Gallery but don't forget to click on the 'Google Map' button on the Navigation section and zoom right into the map view for another detailed view of the main locations at the Cathedral. The marked locations on the Goggle Map are accurate to about 5 meters. You can readily park at the various pay and display car parks next to the Castle, from where it is only about 5 minute walk to the Cathedral. If you are driving into Lincoln it is easiest to avoid the centre of the city by going to the NW of the city off the A46 and then via the A57 and then Long Leys Road and avoiding initial signage for the city centre along the A46 if you are coming from the south. There is a normally a charge to go into the Cathedral, though there are limited periods when free entry is possible.
